Installing
Double click the downloaded file. Follow the instructions. For simplicity select option to create a desktop shortcut.
Run the application by double clicking the desktop shortcut. Maxx will start in the interactive mode.
In 'Demo' mode the output files will have silences inserted every minute for 1 second. Buying Maxx will make this go away.
Manual mode
The default 'wave' sound device will be used. If there are more than one sound card on your computer then you might need to select a different sound device. To do this click on the 'Settings' button and then select 'Wave'. Select from the list box on the left side of the dialog the sound device you want to use. Click on OK when finished.
To play a sound file through the processor it is necessary to choose a sound file. Click on 'Input' and choose a sound file. (wav, ogg & mp3 file types supported). Then click on 'Play'. The software will perform a first pass computation and then begin playing on the second pass.
At this point in the mastering process adjustment of the processor can be made. Initially just choose a 'Factory Preset'. To do this click on the right button on the 'Preset' title bar. A list of factory presets will be shown. Choose one by clicking on it.
The final step in the process is to select an output file. Do this by clicking on 'Output'. Navigate to the desired directory and supply a file name. At this point click on 'Settings' and select an output file type. (Output Encoder Settings). The MP3 option will only be available if Winamp is installed. That completes the setup. Back at the main window click on the 'Exec' (Execute) button.

Automatic mode can be displayed by clicking on the 'Auto' button. You will be prompted to save any altered presets if necessary. For simplicity default settings will be used.
Click on the 'File' button and add files that need processing. They will be shown on the 'Input' list. Next click on 'Run' to begin the processing. The progress is shown in the 'Work' window. This can be displayed by clicking on the right hand button of the 'Input' title bar.
