The processor has been redesigned.
First change is the band splitting which now has favorable summation both below and above limiting threshold.It is now not power complementary which rules out RMS or power based limiters in the multiband section.The limiters are therefore peak based.
Second change to the processor is the redesigned pre-emphasis.The method is a two band adaptation of the original MBL4 pre-emphasis method.
It has proved to be impossible to improve the composite clipper with current generation processors.When multicore processors become the norm then it should be possible to implement an improved method.

The MP3 encoder (LAME) is now consumes less CPU time.The change is in the configuration settings.It is uneccessary to change the actual plugin.(lame_enc.dll).The ABR mode now works correctly.
The AAC encoder has a problem in that it will 'latch up' into a higher bit rate than it is set to.It appears to be a bug in the plugin.It is worth noting that the bit rate settings are per channel.Therefore setting 64kB/s in stereo mode results in an average bit rate of 128kB/s.This value is worsened by the 'latch up' behaviour.It is best to use MP3 at 128kB/s in CBR or ABR mode.
The principle addition for this release is the 'STL' functionality.It is a first draft of the software.The audio works in both directions but the demo software will not pass allow the audio to be processed because it is a demo.The chat function is operational.The RS232 linking function is largely untested.(It might work!).
